The only medical facility in Baradères is a government-owned clinic staffed by nurses who are sisters of Ste. Therèse de l 'Enfant-Jésus. There are no doctors on staff, although some make periodic visits. The nearest hospital is about an hour away by car. Note the dirt pile in the clinic yard—on the right side of this 2002 photo. That's where an annex has been built. We used the annex to run our medical clinics. The sisters' clinic is directly across the road from the Collège St. Jean Baptiste, seen here from the second floor of the new clinic annex. |
