visit We work at the secondary school for 3-1/2 days of our 5-day stay in Baradères. (details of SJB support for the secondary school). In those few but intense 3-1/2 days, we teach English, sing and are sung to and, with the students' enthusiastic help, paint the school exterior and the principal's office. We witness the students' enthusiasm for learning and hear their dreams for their own futures. We spend many hours in conversation with them about world, local and personal happenings. Best of all, students and visitors come to experience each other as individuals. |

ceilings. Below, everyone
pitches in: Evelyn can be seen third from left, joining students to carry
bamboo poles from the road. The poles, to be hoisted onto the roof, will
support second-floor cement and re-bar ceilings until the cement dries.
