visit Father Pascal in the garden area behind the rectory. It looks like little more than weeds in this picture, but the garden produces a lot of food growing almost everywhere you look: plaintains, bananas, squash, beans (when floods don't kill the plants), taro, oranges, grapefruit and more. Several chickens provide meat and eggs. |
