January 2001
visit We head across the bay as dusk falls. The contrast of Haiti's beauty and poverty is never far away. The small object just left of center is a kingfisher, a large bird. It is standing, so you can see the bay is very shallow. The boatmen have to pick a circuitous route to take us back to the mouth of the Baradères river. |
