CSJB Graduates First 12th-Graders
Leading a procession of more than 100 family members, classmates and friends, the 15 graduates walked from the rectory to the church, located in the town square. After Mass and a moving graduation ceremony at the church, a reception for the graduates was held at the Baradères clinic.
Cynthia Norris and Marie Charles officially represented SJB at the graduation. Several other SJB parishioners attended. On June 25, the graduates traveled to Anse-a-Veau—a truck ride of several hours—to take a 3-day, highly competitive national examination. They must pass this exam to qualify to apply to a school at which they can complete their Baccalaureate education in the coming school year. And they must then pass yet another examination if they wish to apply for entrance to university in Haiti. |
